As an industrial engineer specialized in industrial design, I never expected my next big project would start with a rusted-out old barbecue. Back in 2021, I was on the hunt for a new grill—but nothing out there really hit the mark. So, I decided to design one myself.
For me, the ritual of lighting up a fire with real wood—not just flipping a gas switch—was essential. It’s cleaner, more natural, and adds that cozy, social vibe to any gathering. You get to enjoy an apéro while the fire gently gets going. That’s the real barbecue spirit, isn’t it?
But functionality wasn’t enough. I wanted something that looked stunning too—even when it’s not in use.
No ugly covers, no rust stains on the floor, and no compromises on materials. That’s why I chose high-grade stainless steel (inox) from day one: durable, stylish, and built to last a lifetime.
The result? The O-BBQ: a unique, robust, and elegant grill that keeps the heat in, keeps the smoke going upward with its chimney effect, and lets you keep grilling endlessly by simply adding more wood. The ring around the grill functions as a plancha or a warming zone for sauces and side dishes.
Weighing 127 kg, it’s a solid piece of craftsmanship. The double-layered hood with an aluminum-coated outer shell stays cool to the touch and adds a bold visual accent. Need space? The custom wood cradle on wheels can stand tall beside it or slide neatly underneath.
Whether it’s summer sunshine or winter frost, the O-BBQ is made to be used and admired all year round.
I designed it to enjoy—every time I fire it up. And now, you can too.
